About NOC Web

Shiva VPN

This VPN service is obsoleted. Please use our new SoC-VPN. Refer to: https://docs.comp.nus.edu.sg/node/1553

Note: Intel has discontinued support of the Shiva LanRover VPN Gateway used by SoC. While this Shiva VPN continues to be available to users, you are encouraged to use NUS VPN instead. Please check http://www.nus.edu.sg/vpn for more information. Where applicable, you may also want to try SSH Tunneling instead.

A virtual private network (VPN) is a private data network that makes use of the public telecommunication infrastructure. Virtual private networks maintain privacy through the use of a tunneling protocol and security procedures.

The Shiva VPN Client provides users with a transparent, secure way to leverage the Internet for cost-effective access to your corporate networks. Shiva VPN Client software works with the LanRover VPN Gateway to give Windows 95/NT clients confidential, authenticated communications with other users, servers and networks.
