SoC provides wired ethernet access points all over its premises. There are generally two types of networks: SoC Network itself which is internal to SoC and the SoC PnP network. More information about SoC PnP is available here. This document is about LAN access to SoC Network.

The SoC Network is intended to provide LAN connectivity for computers that belong to the school. These include computers from central facilities, teaching facilities (teaching laboratories), research grants, etc.

Personal desktop or notebook computers (such as one owned by a student) should connect to the SoC PnP ethernet or wireless network.

Computers connected to SoC Network need to be pre-registered. Please see the host registration page for more information.
