Service Disruption on 11 Sep 2007

We experienced a critical cooling problem at Computer Room 2 this evening due to the failure of both our primary and backup cooling systems. Some network services were temporarily disrupted from 8:30pm to 9pm due to thermal protection features of the systems. The temporary disruption partially affected VPN service, MySoC.Net website and login authentication service (supporting wireless login authentication).

All network services have been fully restored since 9pm. We regret this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

ps: This incident is not 9-11 related.
