IP Telephone Pilot

NUS has now deployed a production IP Tel system that became fully operational at the end of 2005. The previous IP Tel pilot system originally deployed in 2000 is now obsolete.

However, SoC is now beta-testing another Voice-Over-IP (VOIP) service that is targetted at desktop and notebook PC users. This service will softphone access from anywhere in the world and provide gateway access to regular phone (PSTN) networks.
